Today was about the third day I had the privilege of taking my 13 year old son to the gym with me. Awkward sometimes, but fun also. He is a bit timid, as I am at trying to show him the techniques and proper form.
I have already had on the first day 2 individuals come up to show him and I how to properly perform a work out. I have been working out for years, so I was at first surprised. Yet I realized, I was used to the workouts I was doing at my level of fitness. My 13 year old is not yet prepared for some of what I was showing him, so I then realized the advice was very much what I needed to hear. I appreciated the input.
Have you found your self in similar situations and if so, how did you handle it? Also, did you find yourself feeling timid the next time you walked into the gym with your child to work out once again?
Thank you for all input!
